An international charity helping disadvantaged children around the world has launched its new promotional film, featuring some conspicuously famous people. And a spot of music in the background by Momo:tempo – JULY 2010.

When Rampage Studio in London were approached by Laureus Sport For Good Foundation to create their new promo teaser, the good chaps turned to Momo to ask for "some sort of stiring, uplifting, sporting excellence-kind of thing".

Now, given that Momo can't remember the last time it stirred for anything, and that Mr Peach's idea of sporting excellence is to ensure he never tries to 'bring anything' to anyone's team by turning up in the first place, this was likely to be a challenge.

Laureus' work is inspiring stuff, however. And many well known sports people and celebrities who love sport have happily leant their time to promote the charity, as it tries to encourage skills and hope in youngsters all over the world who find themselves in often-hopeless-seeming circumstances.

"It wasn't hard to feel inspired about it," says Timo, "and the theme they chose was the simplest and most heart-felt. I'm chuffed they went for it."

"Plus, I had the easy bit" he adds; "It was Ben and Carlos at Rampage who had to chase Kevin Spacey around a large hotel with a green screen and convince the oscar-winning actor to say "Children are our future"."

Featuring the strings of Pete Whitfield and the horns of John Herbison, the arrangement's high point is also helped by the voices of some of the youngsters of St James' Catholic high school in west London. "Yes, it might have been tricky getting them all down to Bournemouth on a bus just for two bars of singing, so a big thankyou to Marnie Shippard and music teacher Kostas Lasithiotakis for making it happen right where they were" Timo says.
